MELTING MOMENTS

Ann Lauer

1 c. butter
3/4 c. cornstarch
1/3 c. powdered sugar
1 c. flour

Beat butter until creamy. Add cornstarch & sugar slowly until blended. Then beat at medium until fluffy. Add flour and mix in gently. Cover and refrigerate about an hour. Then roll into small balls about 1/2" across. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and flatten each ball with your finger. Bake for about 9 min. at 350 degrees. Don't let cookies brown, but make sure they are firm. Cool.

Icing:
6 oz. cream cheese
2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 t. almond extract
food coloring

Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and extract and beat until creamy. Add food color and mix in.

Decorate cookies using an icing bag and decorator tip. Let sit out for several hours until icing is firm. Store in tightly covered container. Enjoy!
